- Walter Hanks Shaw was an American journalist. He studied photography with Man Ray and was part of a circle that included Mary Butts and Nancy Cunard. He was also Jean Guérin's romantic partner. Blaise Cendrars dedicated his Hollywood, La Mecque du cinéma (1936) to Shaw.
