- Edith Chapman was a painter. Her daughter Josephine Anne Chapman was also a member of the lending library. According to the Shakespeare and Company address books, Edith Chapman kept Mary Borden's Jericho Sands (1925) and R. H. Mottram's The Spanish Farm (1924) after her lending library membership expired.
